Sally Creek, Eastdale and Oxford Heights: three different builds

Sally Creek is one of the newer master-planned communities in Woodstock, built on a golf-course layout with consistent lot grading and modern subdivision drainage. Driveways here are usually straightforward new pours, and the main question is finish — many Sally Creek homeowners ask about exposed aggregate or stamped concrete to match the community's higher-end streetscape.

Eastdale, on the older side of Woodstock, has smaller lots and driveways that were often poured decades ago with a thinner base than we'd use today. When we replace a driveway in Eastdale, we usually find the original slab sitting on 2 to 3 inches of compacted material rather than the 6-inch granular base we install now, which explains why so many of these driveways have settled unevenly at the garage apron.

Oxford Heights and the rural fringes around Woodstock present a different challenge again: larger lots, longer driveway runs, and sometimes a well or septic field nearby that needs to be avoided during excavation. Rural Oxford County driveways also see heavier vehicle loads — trucks, trailers, farm equipment — which changes the reinforcement and thickness spec we recommend.
